Мне эта работа почему-то очень сильно напоминает деталями одну картинку 2001-го года.

Мне нравится, как на лице используется клэшинг аттрибутов - переход с голубого на белое явно сделан специально квадратиками, чтобы общий стиль и текстуру сохранить на всё лице.

this piece was originally intended as an entry for the 'April Fools' challenge at PixelJoint. The idea of this challenge was to replicate another artists' style in order to make people believe it was made by this person.

I consider your 'StellarContour'-series to be amongst the best drawings made on a speccie so I thought it would be fun to make a piece in the vein of these works.

Hope you don't consider it to be a ripoff - wasn't intended that way...

Oh, so that the background was. I'm just wondering. I'm not frequent guest of PixelJoint so i miss this event.
And of course i didn't thought about your work as of "ripoff" or something. You a great pixeler by yourself. I'm very like your "Heavy on the Magick" and "Frankenstein" screens. Very detailed and solid works. Personally, I also like that you do not use much of textures, that too often made image blurry when it's not necessary.

That's really a nice idea for some virtual compo - making a work which should clearly be done in some other recognizable style.
